Odyssea

While hull cleaning is a vital process to keep vessels running efficiently, it relies heavily on manpower. Odyssea aims to automate this by using a dual-propulsion technology that can perform hull inspection as well as cleaning services in water. The design also allows expansion to fly the device as a drone. Although there are existing Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) solutions, Odyssea’s amphibious modular design aims at making the device functional both in water and in air.

Performance Rotors

In-hull ship inspections are time-consuming and risky due to confined spaces, heights, lack of oxygen or presence of toxic or flammable gasses. Performance Rotors’ multiple Class approved Remote Inspection Technique, which can be done at anchorage, helps minimise such risks, cost and downtime. In addition to visual inspection, Performance Rotors measures plate thickness using Ultrasound to allow for a detailed inspection. Digitalisation of the inspection data allows for easier comparison of results and management for predictive maintenance programme formulation.

Phasio is a software platform which helps to monitor, manage and maintain multiple different 3D printers in one common interface. We connect directly to the printers, stream data from them and leverage the data to provide value added services like facility analytics and part quality. Phasio is currently used in 5 different countries and connected to 20 printers. We have a patent pending AI tool which helps us with the Quality assurance of 3D printed parts.

Seadronix

Developing the AI technology to the most state-of-the-art condition, Seadronix enhances the digitalisation and connectivity in the maritime industry regarding ship navigation and port operation. Providing real-time situational information such as around-view video and distance of objects detected at a close-range field is the key feature of Seadronix solutions. SeaVantage

SeaVantage offers real-time marine tracking and visibility solutions. Our artificial intelligence-based Maritime Traffic Network provides our clients with visibility at terminals and ports as well as vessel tracking and vessel routing solutions. By using our proprietary software, SeaVantage enables customers to better manage their supply chains by providing Predicted Time of Arrival (PTA) information that is more accurate and reliable than traditional ETAs. Our platform is available to customers through API integration or SeaVantage Web Service.

SGLab

SGLab provides real-time automatic monitoring of toxic and flammable gases in places where wireless connectivity is a challenge. This solution is made possible by our enabling self-sufficient connectivity and the latest gas sensor from our local research institute.

Periodic gas testing in confined space, and oil refinery & terminals, is laborious and error-prone. Our solution offers

• automatic gas monitoring from a cloud dashboard
• a safer working environment, e.g. precision safety management within exposure limit and duration
• accurate and granular data for timely problem identification and early prevention of catastrophic failure due to gas leaks.

The solution is self-sufficient, consumes very little power, and can be easily made Intrinsically Safe or ATEX for on-site installation.

Shipp

The maritime supply chain and logistics sectors face numerous challenges, including delays, traffic congestion and lack of visibility that result in inflated delivery costs and low productivity. Shipp (previously Ship Supplies Direct) has developed an online logistics system that allows suppliers to drop off their items at a hub, where they are consolidated, tracked and delivered to the vessel during the best window available. Not only is this more efficient for suppliers, it also reduces waiting time, and traffic congestion at and near the port.

SkyLab

SkyLab’s in-house developed data transport accelerator platform (STA™) is able to overcome current limitations of satellite communications whilst at sea in the provision of real-time monitoring and management of plant, equipment, crew’s health, systems and communications. This will empower the large scale adoption of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in the Maritime sector. Using data securely ingested by SkyLab’s Multi-Access Edge Computing and processed by its Data Logistics Platforms, shipping companies will gain actionable insights into the state of their ships and crew, whilst ports can leverage on those data to provide timely and value-added services when ships call. Shipping lines will reap operational efficiencies and monetary benefits from faster turnaround at ports of call too.

SkyTrek

Last mile delivery between ship and shore currently relies on whole boats regardless of item sizes, often resulting in inefficiencies and bottlenecks due to the slow sailing speed of these boats. SkyTrek is developing a fully autonomous drone delivery system to handle transportation of items to as far as 5km.

Spinoff Robotics

Spinoff Robotics enables safer, more cost-effective and efficient fluid delivery and spraying applications at heights. Our proprietary tethered aerial robotics technology automates and controls the fluid pressure at target areas for cleaning stubborn stains or at delicate structures. The ALICE (Automated Launder and Inspection Corded End-effector) platform, our core product, has gained traction in the built environment, landscaping and aviation sectors. We are validating our solution to address existing inefficiencies and dangers of high-rise cargo hold washing in the maritime industry.

SunGreenH2

SunGreenH2 is an award-winning company building the world’s highest performance electrolyzer technology that doubles production of green hydrogen while dramatically reducing platinum group metal loading and lowering energy consumption. Their space-saving and low cost proprietary technology is especially fit for maritime applications and is the result of over 10 years of research in nanotechnology and electrochemistry. They have recently won a grant award from Shell and the Energy Market Authority and the company is working with hydrogen end users including in the offshore and marine industry in Singapore and globally to bring their products to market.

Tagvance

Tagvance provides high accuracy tracking and monitoring solutions that allow businesses to determine in real time the exact location of people and assets in industrial spaces. IoT nodes are placed at various locations around the tracking area, and tags which are worn by people or placed on the assets can last several years. The tracking system operates at Bluetooth and LoRa radio frequencies, making it ideal for both outdoor and indoor tracking. In addition to positioning data, the system can provide sensor data, so operators have a better idea of what is happening at the specific location. This solution helps to improve operational costs.

Temus

In the safety world , almost all industries including Marine sector have Slips, Trips and Falls (STF) problems, associated productivity losses and casualties. Temus’ Navisafe is a digital solution to prevent this. Our solution consists of a wearable device, communication infra, cloud and mobile apps. This is a complete package we offer on a per worker per month basis. Some of the features we provide include real-time location detection, fall detection, distress, evacuation messaging, geofencing, contact tracing.

Teqplay develops AI technology to provide the maritime industry with actionable insights, integrated into (collaborative) planning and monitoring solutions focusing on the port call and maritime supply chain. Data is the fuel of sustainable supply chains, it is the enabler of innovation, shared awareness and global collaboration within the maritime ecosystem. The platform collects, aggregates, maps and processes globally available public information. These insights, combined with industry data, helps the industry to drive sustainability and efficiency by creating more efficient port calls, saving emissions and reducing waste in operations. The Barell offers an online platform for bunkering on-demand services which allows ship owners anywhere in the world to source refuelling services directly from licensed suppliers in Singapore’s port.

Threatspan

The maritime sector is increasingly relying on IT networks for improved operations and seafarer well-being. However, this leaves them exposed to cyberthreats. Threatspan is a cybersecurity firm that helps the maritime sector quantify, understand and mitigate cyber risk exposure. Threatspan offers a suite of cybersecurity solutions for detecting intrusions, cyber monitoring, cyber risk management and cyber hygiene testing, to allow the maritime industry to improve their cyber risk posture and innovate safely.

Tow-botic Systems

Tow-botic Systems has developed a patented technology to use autonomous underwater thrusters for precise ship navigation in constrained spaces. The Towbots attach directly to the ship’s hull, controlled from the bridge by the Master / Pilot using a handheld device, or autonomously maneuver the ship to the desired wharf. This technology improves safety, reduces port emissions and also lowers operating costs. Our easy to install portable thrusters for dynamic positioning of barges, pontoons, jack-ups, transhippers and shuttle vessels, convert a vessel at very short notice for offshore support and marine construction activities. The portable thrusters are able to reach to the keel of any vessel, irrespective of deep draft or high freeboard. Capital cost is reduced by having thruster equipment that can be quickly interchanged between vessels. We are also developing energy efficient underwater magnets for subsea attaching and lifting operations. These specially designed permanent magnet arrays require no energy when attached.

Tropical Renewabale Energy Engineering (TREE)

TREE supports Singapore’s green port initiative by providing novel and innovative solutions towards Digital twin based marine asset health monitoring with real-time capability. TREE’s underwater drone-based solution aims to minimise downtime of marine assets by providing early information on potential failures of marine assets, to take timely preventive actions much faster than conventional maintenance methods. TREE also specialises in resource mapping and environmental impact of water bodies and coastal locations using novel sensor integrated Surficial robots that provides vital information such as seabed bathymetry, water quality and tidal flow and wave conditions. Customised solutions are also available based on customers’ specific requirements and needs.

Valqari provides a unique solution to the pain points of drone deliveries. We don’t build drones- we enable them to solve the “last mile” problem while we address the “last inch of the last mile” problem with a patented Delivery Station that makes deliveries:

This allows for swift onboard processing, delivering required data in real-time. It is also highly versatile, allowing for easy installation.

Aruvii’s SaaS platform Prognotron™ enables manufacturing industries to digitalize, analyze and optimize manufacturing processes and critical assets. Built on MarineTrust Blockchain to store, authenticate and access maritime records quickly and securely, MarinePort aims to bring about greater trust, productivity and connectivity to the maritime industry.

Vulcan-AI is a Singapore-based company creating new technological solutions that work at scale to improve safety and productivity. WeavAir

WeavAir was founded by Natalia Mykhaylova, who spent a decade in safety management using the latest technologies in sensors and data systems.

Shipping Insurance premiums totalled over US$30B in 2020, representing an annual increase of 6%. Much of this was due to the opaqueness in dealing with safety incidents, reporting and claims recoveries.
