For methanol risks, the system detects leaks and indirect signs like condensation or frost near leak points. Their battery safety is also currently pending verification from UL, a recognized fire safety certification body.

STAX Engineering provides mobile emissions capture and control technology for ports, shipping terminals, and fleet operators. Their patented exhaust capture system attaches to at-berth vessels without any modifications, even in the most congested ports. Once the exhaust is captured, it is filtered, removing 99% of particulate matter (PM) and 95% of oxides of nitrogen (NOx). Importantly, STAX’s technology does not produce hazardous waste when processing vessel emissions. This system enables all vessels, including tankers, to comply with the highest air quality standards while operating safely.

Thiospark Energy’s solution extends electric vessel travel time by up to 3x while reducing battery weight by at least 30%, increasing vessel payload capacity. The solution also cuts battery costs by up to 20% by utilising waste from oil refineries. The use of polymer ceramic electrolyte minimises or eliminates battery heating during cycling, enhancing safety and durability. These batteries support sustainable and clean energy storage.
TideWise
Tidewise involves the use of a configurable uncrewed monitoring system, based on an Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) platform, available 24/7 for planned and punctual activities according to the port needs. This solution will be operated by TideWise locally (in an office area installed inside the port headquarters or in a place in Singapore that can transmit the data in real-time, through broadband internet, to the port HQ). All the data acquired during the operations will be shared in real-time with the port managers, supporting decision makers on their daily activities.
They offer a smart solution to smart ports, helping in the digitalisation of the port activities (the data collected can be used for feeding a real time Digital Twin of the port) and reducing the personnel involved in dangerous operations.
