Eastern Pacific brings virtual reality to LNG bunkering training

Kanda’s virtual reality (VR) course for LNG bunkering procedures has been certified by Lloyd’s Register. Developed in collaboration with Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), the VR training involves strapping on lightweight Oculus headsets and stepping onto the deck of a virtual EPS ship, complete with LNG pump and the manifold equipment required for LNG bunkering operations. Kanda brought their VR solution to maritime as a finalist of Smart Port Challenge 2019, was awarded a grant from MPA to pilot a project, then went on to be part of EPS’ accelerator programme.

Shortlisted finalists are enrolled in a two-phase, 12-week programme.


Phase 1: Fit Check - Market Discovery and Validation

Now, it's time to bridge the commercial gap. In this phase, you’ll partner with industry veterans who bring sharp business insights to the table. Together, you’ll navigate and conquer markets that may be uncharted territory for your startup.
