PIER71™ #SmartPortChallenge 2023 culminated on a high with the Grand Final held today.

Winner: – MeasureAI Pte Ltd – Innovative sensing technology which can detect and quantify hundreds of gases with a single sensor chip simultaneously in real time, using organic coatings for their multi-gas sensors. #Safety against #ammonia #leakage in #bunkering.

1st Runner-up: – CRecTech – pioneered a novel catalytic technology that greatly enhances the production of methanol, making #green  #biomethanol a viable #alternativefuel for the #maritimeindustry.

2nd Runner-up: Rux Energy – #advancedmaterials #startup aiming to double the volumetric efficiency and halve the cost of dispatchable  #hydrogenstorage for bulk distribution, refuelling, heavy mobility and aviation, thereby improving #efficiency, #safety and #reducingcosts.

Special Mention: MicroSec – provides an integrated #cybersecurity  platform for enabling protection and monitoring its state, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards like #IEC62443.

The Judging panel comprising Yong Ping Koh, Chief Executive of Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore, Assoc Prof Kah-Hin Chai, of the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, National University of Singapore, Yi Han Ng （黄翼航）, Director (Innovation, Technology and Talent Development) #MPA faced a formidable challenge in deciding the top placed winners, recognising the high standard of the entire cohort of 17 finalists in #maritime #innovation.
